What is soft tissue mobilization?
Soft tissue refers to any part of the body that is not bone. Most of us have experienced "sleeping weird" or "tweaking something" at some point in our lives. Therefore, we know how important it is to have fully functioning and pain-free soft tissue to tackle our everyday challenges. Regular soft tissue treatment can serve as a reset or even as a preventative measure against pain or decreased function. This is particularly beneficial for those with desk jobs or those who find it harder to be active due to pain or soreness.
Soft tissue mobilization sessions incorporate massage, myofascial release, instrument-facilitated soft tissue mobilization, and passive stretching to improve muscle and facial restrictions and reduce pain or stiffness. These sessions can be tailored for either the upper or lower quadrants of the body or as a whole-body treatment for upkeep or general well-being. A variety of positions are available to accommodate any restrictions, and we are happy to provide prenatal, postnatal, and general soft tissue work.
